5.5-magnitude quake hits Nicobar Islands, India Region — GFZ

HONG KONG, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) — An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted the Nicobar Islands, India Region at 03:42:50 GMT on Sunday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 8.11 degrees north latitude and 91.76 degrees east longitude. ■
